Last night marked the second installment of the Team KO finals, featuring the highly anticipated Group 2 encounter between Grassmoor 'C', positioned mid-table in division two, and YM Brotherhood 'C', reigning champions of division three.

Grassmoor aimed to secure their second title, while YM Brotherhood sought to clinch a league and cup double, marking a remarkable season following a brief hiatus from league play.

The opening exchanges saw Grassmoor's captain, Dean Hancock, assert dominance against Mark Summerfield, swiftly amassing a significant 61-point lead, leaving his opponent visibly deflated.

However, the match dynamics swiftly shifted, with the subsequent three frames witnessing a mere 7-point margin between the two sides. As the fifth and final frame approached, Grassmoor's Stu Hall and Brotherhood's John Roseman prepared to determine the outcome. Roseman faced an uphill battle, trailing by 40 points before even striking a ball, a challenge his captain believed he could overcome.

The final frame commenced with a cautious approach, nearly ten minutes elapsing before the first ball found its pocket. Both players showcased exceptional defensive play, though the table layout favoured Hall, complicating Roseman's efforts to bridge the gap. Despite showcasing skilful shot-making, Roseman struggled to secure advantageous positions on the colours. As Hall capitalised on opportunities and began stringing together pots, Roseman recognized the mounting challenge and gracefully conceded defeat.

Grassmoor's jubilation at securing their second championship title was clear for this well supported match and exemplified the spirit of competitive sportsmanship.
